I am a 64 year old woman who has been going to Fighting Gravity Fitness for a year. While I have always tried to be fit and healthy, after many years of yoga and dancing I felt that my routine had become stagnant. When I joined the studio I found that exercising in the hammock has been amazingly helpful. It is always fun and interesting and as the founder of AntiGravity, Christopher Harrison says, I do end class “feeling happier and healthier as well as taller”! It is remarkable that using a hammock makes exercise feel more like playing. Audrey has a wide range of classes that keep it interesting as well as challenging. I think I am more fit now than when I was forty. For less cost than a massage a month I have nearly eliminated long standing back pain and have become very strong as well.

Went to my first class this morning and had the most incredible time. I’m extremely out of shape, overweight & have zero… upper body strength. Audrey helped me when I needed it and praised me when I didn’t. I was the strongest I’ve felt in many years. If I can do this anyone can! I will definitely be continuing this journey.!

Audrey is a very energetic, dedicated and wonderful fitness instructor/trainer. She offers a variety of classes that keeps you interested in working out everyday and I’ve attended most of them like the barre, Zumba, cardio, abs, yoga, anti gravity etc. I not only lost weight but also learned the correct and safe technique. She’s the only one in town who offers Anti Gravity classes which is an excellent, unique exercise and a must try for everyone!

“Audrey is a fantastic instructor, energetic, knowledgeable, and receptive to her student’s goals and limitations. She is constantly getting trained in new courses and seeking new ways to make her classes more exciting, accessible, and fun. When I first signed up for anti-gravity classes I was having some serious back pain issues as well as wrist and knee pain that fluctuated in intensity and kept me from continuing to do yoga. The support of the hammocks enabled me to do those yoga poses previously prohibitive because of my wrists, eliminated my back pain, and made working out an enjoyable and safe new adventure. The soothing and centering effect of the last part of the anti-gravity classes, the Cocoon which is equivalent to the Sava Sana yoga pose was incredible in the hammock and the playfulness of the more acrobatic like exercises in it were empowering in building physical strength and confidence while exploring one’s limits and recovering the flexibility of childhood. In addition to her anti-gravity courses, I took barre, abs, and Zumba classes with Audrey and thoroughly enjoyed them. She has a warm and engaging personality that makes working out a pleasure and make you want to keep going.”

“I regularly (monthly?) have my Wellness appointments at Ft Lee where they do a full BOD POD® assessment. They give me numbers for my % fat, Fat weight, % Fat Free weight, and my body weight. BODPOD® is very accurate and is used by numerous serious training systems including the NFL I am told. So here is the sad story:
I’ve changed my schedule and as of July 25th I am back at it.
SO the long and short of it was that 5 Volee’ classes (just 5) spread out over 5 weeks dropped my body fat 2.5% and upped my lean mass by almost 4 lbs. There were other lifestyle moments in this mess (long holiday weekends with too much food and alcohol that contributed to the fat gain) but the only strength training I added was Volee’ and the only thing I stopped was Volee’. And I lost 4 lbs of muscle in 5 weeks.
Suffice to say I am back and will manage my schedule to get to this class!”
