Nia is an energizing barefoot movement class which blends elements and movements from the dance arts, martial arts and healing arts. A holistic wellness program designed for sustainability in the body, mind and spirit. Nia is adaptable for ALL levels of fitness. Nia offers the choice to move towards pleasure and self-healing and away from pain. Flexibility, agility, mobility, stability and strength are the five sensations used as tools to guide participants towards optimal health.
Terry Cralle, RN, MS, CPHQ, is a certified clinical sleep educator based in Washington, DC. She is the coauthor of Snoozby and the Great Big Bedtime Battle, the first nonfiction book directly messaging the
benefits of sufficient sleep to young children, and Sleeping Your Way to the Top, the ultimate guide to success through sufficient sleep. As the cofounder of a four-bed sleep disorders center and a nationally recognized sleep health clinician, consultant, educator, and advocate, her work in the field of sleep medicine has spanned over 20 years.
Nap Workshop in the hammocks
• 15-20 minute power point / talk / presentation on sleep and napping – focusing on the sleep /
exercise / weight / stress connection and napping benefits and tips
• Lights off, white noise machines on we will have eye masks in the kits.
• Gentle stretching
• Get into hammocks
• Nap / meditate / rest for 20 minutes
